We are working hard to make this milestone year a memorable event. And this year, we are excited to be collaborating with the Asian American Journalists Association to develop a convention benefiting members of both associations. As always, we have lined up a roster of fantastic speakers covering print, broadcast and new media.
- new media guru and What Would Google Do author Jeff Jarvis will deliver the opening keynote speech, kick-starting day-long sessions on Saturday, July 11, all taking place at the City University of New York.
- The sessions featuring panel discussions, intimate salons and hands-on workshops cover a wide range of topics — from the challenges of reporting from hotspots of the world and the freelance market in South Asia to storytelling in radio.
- Speakers include
ABC News anchor Dan Harris
WSJ.com executive editor Alan Murray
NYT’s media reporter Brian Stelter
photojournalist John Stanmeyer
CBC Radio senior producer Steve Wadhams
VOA’s South Asia bureau chief Steven L. Herman
- There will be plenty of opportunities to network at the Career Fair, and get feedback on your resume, clips, broadcast tapes and photo portfolio.
- Finally, dazzle the crowd at the gala scholarship & awards dinner at Columbia University on Saturday night.
- Author and Daily Beast columnist Reza Aslan will deliver the closing night keynote talk.
- Registration is now open. Just click here to sign up.See you in July!
