Red Bangle Award Ceremony

​In honor of International Women's Day, the Women’s Education Project (WEP) is awarding​ ​Kayce Jennings of The Documentary Group and the film​ ​Girl Rising with WEP’s Red Bangle Award.
 
WEP’s Red Bangle is awarded to “exceptional women,​ ​who by their life and accomplishment demonstrate the indomitable eloquence of the human spirit and inspire others to higher goals​."

The ceremony will be held on March 16th at 6​​pm​ ​at the​ ​Consulate General of India 3 East 64th Street, New York.

Indian Ambassador​ to the US ​Dnyaneshwar​ ​M.​ ​Mulay, the Counsel General of New York, will deliver opening​ ​remarks.​ ​Jennings​ ​will then join Zoë Timms, founder​ ​and​ ​director​ ​of the Women’s​ ​Education​ ​Project, in a discussion about​ global girls education moderated by SAJA board member and WNYC producer Mythili Rao.
