Indian Supreme Court Denies Requests for Clemency in 2012 Rape Case

The 2012 New Delhi rape case which seized the entire world's attention, involving a 23 year old girl as the victim of violence from six men, is finally coming to an end. After one of the perpetrators committed suicide and another was sentenced to juvenile detention for three years, the fight has been on to properly punish the four remaining. Since they were sentenced to death in 2013, the courts of India have received requests for leniency from the perpetrators.
