Taliban and Islamic State Claim Responsibility for Terror Attacks in Pakistan as Election Nears

Pakistan’s elections are tomorrow, the very same elections that have spurred a violent streak in the nation. Over 150 people have been killed and over 177 were wounded in the suicide bombings that have led up to this final election tomorrow. Candidates and voters are becoming targets by opposing parties and militant groups around the country. Around 400,000 security officials will be deployed tomorrow as a preemptive attempt to keep a handle on the election-related terror in Pakistan.
