The South Asian Journalists Association is hosting journalists and authors from some of the nation’s leading news organizations for an afternoon of training. From landing jobs and covering a competitive beat to writing books, come hear how these journalists from CNN, the Wall Street Journal and the National Journal are making it happen and learn how you can too. The scholarship provides a member of SAJA (as well as up to one journalist each belonging AAJA, NABJ, NAHJ, NAJA) with a scholarship to attend the influential Wharton Seminars for Business Journalists October 10-13, 2010.

SAJA’s 16th Awards and Scholarship Gala was held at Low Memorial Library at Columbia University in New York on July 24. More than 250 people attended, using the opportunity to network.

SAJA will offer stipends again to help students bridge the financial gap when they accept unpaid or partially paid internships this summer.

The SAJA Internship Assistance Fund will offer stipends of various amounts to cover airfares or other expenses. This is a need-based grant.
