High Country News is working with Report for America on what we're calling the Western Environmental Reporting Collaborative -- we're partnering with four local newsrooms that will each hire an environmental reporter who will spend a quarter of their time writing for HCN, and the rest writing for the local publication.

These 2- to 3-year, full-time positions are at the Ouray County Plaindealer in Colorado, Montana Free Press, Wyoming Public Media and Arizona Luminaria. They're open now and the deadline to apply is Feb 16. If  you are interested in environmental journalism or working with High Country News, this would be a great opportunity!
