Position at PCMag

PCMag, the best tech reviews site on the web, is looking for a motivated senior editor who can help us steer and expand our coverage of business technology. Content will include reviews of cloud software and services, buying advice, emerging trends analysis, and how-to features. Topics will range across bleeding-edge analytics, IT tools, and evolving cloud services, like martech and fintech platforms.

Responsibilities:

• Work with the executive editor to grow product-focused coverage and syndication strategy. That includes discovering new technology categories and managing a large library of current cloud service reviews and features.
• Work with writers to develop stories around a wide scope of business technology categories, investigate new trends and technologies, and design a cohesive content plan.
• Manage writers and the team editorial calendar, edit expert review and feature content, develop and package compelling roundups, buying guides, help and how-to pieces, news, video scripts, and other content.
• Actively pitch ideas for video, home page, syndication, and social media promotion.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key vendors ensuring early access to new products. (Bonus points if you already have those relationships.)  

Qualifications: 

• You have some knowledge and a genuine interest in business technology trends
• You have 5-7 years of editing experience at a major publication or website covering business-oriented technology (preferably with a product review focus).
• You possess the ability to write and edit clearly and quickly and you can thrive in a fast-paced environment.  Knowledge of basic grammar and style are also a must.   
• You're detail oriented and able to handle team organization duties. 
• You have some knowledge of SEO, but you also know how to package stories that interest and engage readers.
• You have experience working with content management systems, image editing programs, and web analytics tools.
• You hold a bachelor's degree (preferably in Journalism or English).
