LINE PRODUCER: WASH., DC. America's News HQ seeks a Line Producer to join Fox News Channel's Washington, D.C. Bureau. Responsibilities: Prior television experience line/control room producing, writing, copyediting, producing segments, editing packages, researching and booking guests for live news programs.  Must be able to handle breaking news events that require quick thinking and the ability to make major changes to the rundown and guest bookings on the fly. A successful candidate will be a leader: an aggressive, self-starter who can interact with high profile talent and all guests.  This person will help lead a small staff that puts on three to four hours of live television every weekend. Also required: great communication skills, creative and "out of the box" thinking, someone who can multi-task, has a terrific attitude, and works well with a team. Duties include but not limited to:  line producing - stacking a show, assigning stories, timing a show, writing breaking news, and copyediting.  They also include booking guests, producing segments, generating ideas, editing packages, producing reporter hits, in-depth research, producing graphics, helping to oversee our webpage and other online media, field producing on occasion, and pitching stories. Requirements: Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of broadcast experience. Strong editorial judgment as well as strong logistical skills. Knowledge of national politics and the DC area. The ability to work well in a fast paced and intense atmosphere. Familiarity with iNews. Flexibility to work various shifts when needed.
