Production Assistant, Online

PBS NewsHour is seeking a Production Assistant (‘Online PA’) who’s responsible for the management and publishing of all media for the nightly update to the PBS NewsHour’s website. This individual is responsible for a diverse range of writing, reporting, research, editing, production, and tracking services to support the work of the PBS NewsHour. This individual will also encode and edit segments of the PBS NewsHour for online use in Final Cut Pro and other editing programs. College degree in journalism, communications, political science, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Introductory experience with broadcast and online journalism, including writing, editing, and shooting preferred.  Nonlinear editing experience required. Camera skills are a plus.
