    Production Assistant, National Programming

    Arlington, VA

    WETA, Washington, DC's public television and classical radio station, has an exciting new opportunity in the National Programming Department. This new Production Assistant (P.A.) is responsible for providing a diverse range or writing, research, editing, production, and reporting services for public media specials and series. This will include, but not limited to, the development of content for The Asian Americans initiative and The 38th Parallel, a series on the Korean War. This individual will also assist in researching potential funders and assist with creating marketing materials including video marketing reels. College degree (preferably in any of the following disciplines: communications, history and/or marketing) or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum 2-3 years employment experience in a similar position or environment preferred.

    NOTE: This is a full time, but temporary position of less than six months with an anticipated end date on approximately June 30, 2016.
