Coordinating Producer

PBS NewsHour is seeking a Coordinating Producer who will assure coordination and delivery across social media and digital platforms.  Working closely with Reporters, the Coordinating Producer will plan and execute coverage of the major political and economic stories of the day for national nightly news program. Primary responsibilities include serving as project manager to coordinate all assigned productions, offering coverage ideas during editorial planning meetings, and working with producers in field to ensure pieces are ready for broadcast air. This individual will also need to coordinate work with three other public broadcasting outlets, spanning radio, digital, and television platforms. Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of five (5) years of experience in broadcast and/or digital journalism, to include high quality video production.

 NOTE: This is a full time, but temporary position with a 12 month duration.
