    WGBH News seeks to inform, educate and enlighten our audience on both the news of the day and the news in context through in-depth, high quality journalism using the best tools and methods of the craft. WGBH News seeks always to report on and facilitate discussion of the news with integrity, fairness, balance, accuracy and civility, WGBH News also seeks to tell the stories of and allow expression of the diversity of voices that make up our entire community.
    		   

    Position Overview

    WGBH News is looking for an experienced news producer to support all aspects of the production of Greater Boston, Beat the Press and future growth of television. This person must be a strong writer and detailed-oriented with the ability to juggle multiple demands and hard deadlines. We are looking for a team player who will utilize all the resources of our trans-media newsroom which includes local TV, Radio and Digital. Knowledge of the Boston area is preferred. 

    Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

    - Strong writing for both broadcast and digital 

    - pitching segment ideas 

    - identifying potential guests 

    - segment producing 

    - line producing 

    - occasional field producing 

    - tease/promotion writing 

    - researching 

    - other duties as assigned
    		   

    Skills Required

    3 - 5 years of news writing experience 
    Line producing experience preferable
    		   

    Educational Requirements

    Bachelor's degree required.
