Basic managerial responsibilities e.g. alerting senior managers to breaking news, handling scheduling changes, sending coverage advisories, etc. Other opportunities could include interviews and occasional field production duties. Requirements: Solid news judgment and understanding of fair and balanced journalism. Ability to work with others under strict pressure to meet imposed deadlines. Bachelor's degree (preferably in related field). Producing and writing experience at legitimate news organization. Hands-on line producing experience preferred. Strong knowledge of current events. This is a producer track position for candidates with 4+ years television experience producing segments, researching and booking guests for live news programs. Control room experience required.
