SAY YES TO THE DRESS ATLANTA: POST PRODUCTION ASSISTANT: ATLANTA, GA. Post Production Assistant: NYC. NorthSouth Productions seeks a bright, self-motivated (and FUN!) Post Production Assistant for our upcoming 8th season of Say Yes to the Dress Atlanta on TLC. We are one of America’s largest independent television producers, whose clients include History Channel, Lifetime, A&E, TLC, Discovery, TruTV, Food Network, Speed and Travel Channel. In 2012, Hearst Corporation purchased an interest in NorthSouth Productions, making us a part of their Entertainment & Syndication division. NorthSouth continues to deliver a range of genres, including competition-elimination, documentaries, lifestyle, adventure travel, home improvement and docu-comedy formats.

The Post Production Assistant will be a key player in maintaining a demanding post production workflow for an 18-episode order of Say Yes to the Dress Atlanta. Our ideal candidate prides him/herself on exceptional organization and attention to detail, while contributing a creative spirit to our post team. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Transcribe interviews and pickups; maintain organization of transcripts on company server; maintain an accurate episode archive on media server; write and compile episode descriptions and various show documents per network specifications; communicate photo requests to field team; collect and archive all media assets; locate and request stock photos; secure outstanding photo, location and logo releases; finalize chyron logs; transcribe and review final VO scripts; locate sound bites and pickup scenes for Producers; contribute to successful clean delivery of all picture lock elements to online team; complete additional administrative tasks as necessary. We are especially interested in candidates who come with Avid Media Composer knowledge and experience. If versed in Avid, our Post PA will get the opportunity to script and edit his/her own show segments for TLC’s international market. Requirements: Completed BA/BS. At least one year of relevant media experience in an assistant-type, entry role; more experience a plus. Excellent verbal and communication skills in a team setting. Ability to field requests and tasks from multiple authorities. Ability to self-delegate and organize. A fantastic team-oriented attitude. Knowledge of Say Yes to the Dress Atlanta is a plus!
