VIRGIN ATLANTIC SEEKS BUDDING SPORTS REPORTER TO TOUCH DOWN IN LONDON: VIRGIN ATLANTIC IS SCOUTING FOR THE ULTIMATE FOOTBALL FAN TO REPORT LIVE FROM THE NFL INTERNATIONAL SERIES GAME, SEPTEMBER 28
South Norwalk, CT (September 2, 2014) - As a proud sponsor of the NFL International Series for the sixth year in a row, Virgin Atlantic is on the hunt for its next 'Red Hot Reporter' to cover all of the action as the Oakland Raiders take on the Miami Dolphins at London's Wembley Stadium. The transatlantic airline is looking for a social media savvy, football super-fan with sizzling onscreen talent to interview players, capture the excitement of the NFL Fan Rally in Trafalgar Square, and go behind-the-scenes and on the sidelines at the game on Sunday, September 28. In addition to covering all things football, the Red Hot Reporter will document their V.I.P. experience as they and a guest travel in style on Virgin Atlantic and visit must-see hot spots in London."The Red Hot Reporter is truly a once in a lifetime opportunity. Not only will the winner have exclusive media access to all of the hottest NFL International Series events, they will receive the full V.I.P. experience right from the start of their trip, " said Chris Rossi, Senior Vice President, North America. "Whether it's reporting live from our Clubhouse spas, socializing at the Upper Class bar, or showcasing all the breathtaking sights in London, our Red Hot Reporter will bring the excitement of the entire journey to life for fans back in the US." Think you have what it takes? Budding sports journalists are encouraged to share their talent for reporting and passion for football by submitting a short video to Virgin Atlantic. Here's how: Follow @Virgin_Atlantic on Twitter. Create a video on the platform of your choice (i.e. YouTube, Vimeo, Instagram, Vine). Tweet the video to @Virgin_Atlantic with the hashtag #RedHotReporter. Video submissions are open to legal US residents at least 21 years of age or older, and will be accepted starting September 2 through September 12, 2014. The Red Hot Reporter will be selected based on three factors: creativity, social following and their love for football. The winner will be notified directly and announced on Twitter on September 15, and must be ready to travel on Wednesday, September 24, for a four night stay in London. Ahead of the big game, the Oakland Raiders and Miami Dolphins will fly to London on specially chartered flights with Virgin Atlantic, dine on customized menus tailored to fit the players' diets, and enjoy the latest inflight entertainment, including personal seatback screens which feature more than 300 hours of on-demand movies, TV shows, music and more.
