ASSOCIATE PRODUCER, MEDIA DESK: WASH., DC. FOX is seeking an Associate Producer to work at the Media Desk in our Washington, DC bureau. A candidate for this position must have a solid understanding of both news editorial and technical aspects of a digital media system. A minimum of 3-5 years of live television newsroom experience required. An ideal candidate will have an understanding of national/international news, politics and current events. A sense of urgency is absolutely required in order to make editorial and logistical decisions in a fast paced 24 hour news environment. Good communication skills will be utilized as this position requires working with both the staff of the Washington DC bureau and the NY headquarters.
An ideal candidate is able to work with, understand and troubleshoot issues with digital media and video for broadcast / air. Requirements: Maintaining set editorial metadata standards to large volumes of incoming video. Monitoring large volumes of incoming media via Satellite, FTP and physical hardware ingest. Must have an understanding of how web video, streaming video etc. work. Must have experience with non-linear editing and desktop editing skills.
