Position:         Web Show Page Producer

 

Location:        New York

 

Job summary:  Fox News Channel seeks a Web Show Page Producer to work full time with programming. Ideal position for someone who is creative, has a strong desire to win, has production, show experience and is looking to gain experience in online publishing and new media platforms.

 

Duties include but not limited to:

·         Serve as a liaison between Fox News Channel shows and FoxNews.com

·         Produce and manage the content of FoxNews.com's show sections

·         Work with Fox News Channel producers and promotions to write, edit and produce show pages

·         Work with Fox News Channel producers to create new content and ideas for online pages.

·         Work with Web Video Unit to make video segments available on the Web and create original video content for Web show pages

·         Use Photoshop to create images and graphics

·         Propose and implement creative ideas to keep site innovative

Requirements:

·         Team player who can also operate independently

·         Production, show experience

·         Ability to work all hours and keep a flexible schedule

·         Familiarity with Web page production and Photoshop required

·         Background in journalism and/or promotions preferred

·         Interest in current events and attention to detail required

·         Ideal candidate will have exceptional writing, editing and proofreading skills and the ability to work quickly and accurately in a high-stress environment

·         Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, marketing or related field is required

Must be willing, able, and excited about working on a flexible schedule -- including evenings, overnights, and weekend shifts.

Only candidates with experience utilizing several on-line research databases (Lexis-Nexis, Factiva, AutoTrack, etc.) and the Internet for research purposes will be considered. 
 
Qualified individuals must be able to handle multiple and varied research assignments. They should have a nose for retrieving and analyzing information, be able to meet tight deadlines, and work well in a team atmosphere. Must be able to work in an extremely fast-paced environment.
 
Excellent communication and writing skills are also required. Attention to detail a must. A strong knowledge of current events is a key to success. 
 
A bachelor's degree is required and an advanced degree is a plus.

Location:        New York

 

Job summary:  Fox News seeks an experienced Freelance Director to plan and direct live and live to tape news programs and events.

Responsibilities/Requirements:

·         3+ years experience directing live, fast paced television news in a non-automation setting

·         Positive attitude and calm under pressure

·         Integral part of on-air decision making team

·         Director must have  good communication skills to communicate the most engaging on-air visual to Producers

·         Leader, risk taker and desire to take shows to new levels everyday

·         Director/on-air talent relationship is a critical part of the job

·         Ability to work all shifts including weekends and overnights in a 24/7 news environment

·         Solid knowledge of current events

·         Strong technical background

·         Technical directing experience on a Sony 8000 Production Switcher a plus

Job summary:  Fox News Sunday seeks a highly creative and experienced Associate Producer who has a strong background and interest in politics. A successful candidate will have exceptional broadcast writing skills and be highly adept in script preparation and graphics production. As part of the Fox News Sunday team, this individual will also be responsible for generating ideas, booking guests and coordinating tapings.

 

Requirements:

·         2 + years experience in a related role

·         Must be able to work a Wednesday-Sunday schedule

·         Working knowledge of iNews and desktop editing

·         Ability to work with high profile talent & guests
