Production Assistant, General Assignment

PBS NewsHour is seeking a Production Assistant, General Assignment who’s responsible for providing a diverse range of services which may include writing, research, editing, and production to support the work of the PBS NewsHour.This individual is responsible for researching and fulfilling video requests for PBS NewsHour producers, as well as, acquiring footage and creating footage logs for Correspondents, Producers, and Reporter Producers.  This individual will also assist in covering breaking news and in writing for broadcast news summary.  College degree in journalism, communications, political science, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Introductory experience with broadcast and online journalism, including writing, editing, and shooting preferred. Experience with Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, and Avid Media Composer is desirable.
