Production Assistant, Media Assets

PBS NewsHour is seeking a Production Assistant who will works with the Media Assets team, performing a variety of tasks related to the management and archiving of PBS NewsHour media assets (both digital and tape) and support for the production work of the PBS NewsHour.  The Production Assistant exercises independent judgment and collaborates with Producers, Technicians and other members of the PBS NewsHour organization, for the daily broadcast and online content. Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience. Introductory experience with broadcast and online journalism, including writing, editing, and shooting preferred. Experience with Media Asset Management Systems, Avid Composer, Premiere Pro and Final Cut Pro desirable.
