Account Executive, California

BerlinRosen, a leading national progressive political consulting and strategic communications firm, is seeking an Account Executive to work on our growing California team based in Los Angeles. The Account Executive will help our issue advocacy clients – in California and nationally - meet a wide range of campaign and communications goals in a changing media environment.

This position requires 2-4 years of experience in strategic communications, media relations and campaigns and is located in our Los Angeles office.

Excellent writing skills are a must.

Applicants should possess:

• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Strong news sense and knowledge of the media
• Experience with media relations, particularly in California
• Excellent computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Attention to detail
• Ability to handle multiple assignments at once, work quickly and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work with a team to meet group objectives
• Bachelor’s degree or experience in a communications-related field
• Familiarity with social media
• Familiarity with and interest in local, state, and national politics and a commitment and passion for progressive politics
• A sense of humor!
