Director, Business Development

PBS NewsHour is seeking an experienced and business savvy individual responsiblefor maintaining and expanding the ancillary sales of PBS NewsHour and NewsHour Productions (NHP). The Director will also be responsible for developing syndication partnerships including new and emerging media platforms.  The position will be tasked with meeting revenue goals by increasing sales levels and identifying new avenues for marketing the PBS NewsHour, its component segments, interviews and b-roll. This includes foreign syndication of the program, packaging parts of the program for educational uses, and custom productions consistent with the company’s mission. College degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. MBA preferred. Minimum of five (5) years business and management experience. Experience in television and/or video production preferred. Media syndication experience is a plus.
