The Role

Bloomberg News is seeking an Associate Analyst/Reporter focused on health care for our First Word product. The position is based in our New York office, though exceptions will be made for the right candidate. The person in this role will be responsible for providing on-the-spot, concise stories on breaking corporate health news (ranging from large drug companies to small biotechs), capturing the elements of both "what's happening" and "what it means," particularly in the context of the equity markets. Coverage areas include PDUFA dates, conferences, FDA releases, company earnings and stock movers.

Reporters responding to this ad should have a minimum of five years of journalism experience and experience covering health companies in a real-time news environment. Associate analysts should have the ability and industry-specific knowledge to immediately discern actionable information from breaking news and have strong writing skills.

Qualifications:

-Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

-Minimum of five years of health-care reporting and writing experience and/or five years providing health-care research
