NTV Houston is looking for a news anchor in Houston Texas. The right person will exude a positive attitude, intelligence, and credibility both on and off the camera. This position requires a person who can tell good stories as an anchor and reporter.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism or a related field or equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.

Excellent communication skills both oral and written with the ability to adlib when required.

Must have excellent news judgment with an expansive knowledge of local and national current events

Ability to work under strict deadlines and prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Proficiency in computers, and other office equipment.

Flexibility to work any shift

Experience guiding, directing and motivating others.

Job Functions:

Cover News stories and events as assigned.

Willingness and ability to work any shift, including evenings, weekends, overnights and holidays.

Understand and practice journalism ethics and have strong organizational skills.

Perform other job functions as assigned by managers.
