If you live and breathe technology and have proven writing experience, we want to hear from you. PCMag.com, the best tech reviews site on the web is growing, and we're looking for a bright and energetic analyst with top-notch writing and editing skills to join our Apps & Gaming team. You will work closely with our team of editors to cover mobile apps, web utilities, website building and hosting tools, online services, and entertainment tech (including gaming hardware and software and music/video streaming services).

Enthusiasm, wit, and fresh ideas are a must. Prime candidates will bring the ability to produce clean copy quickly, online publishing familiarity, experience, interests, and contacts to the team.

Responsibilities:

--Write clear, authoritative reviews, features, opinion and tip pieces, product roundups, buying guides, and news stories. Collaborate with creative teams to produce compelling visuals and video around your stories.  

--Discover new trends, aggressively seek news and products for review; you will help shape our coverage in key categories, so you need to know what's next. 

--Establish and maintain strong relationships with key vendors in the space.

--Edit, produce, and QA reviews and other stories. 

--Manipulate images, build product galleries, verify and enter product specs, maintain spec database.

--Represent PCMag at vendor meetings, industry events, and trade shows.

Qualifications:

--Bachelor's degree required; Journalism or English concentration preferred.

--3 to 4 years of professional writing/editing experience at an established website, magazine, or newspaper; product review experience is a major plus.

--You must be a self-starter who can independently prioritize projects, and be able to thrive in a fast-paced, competitive, deadline-driven environment. 

--The ability to write quickly and clearly is an absolute must.

--You should have a strong work ethic and strict attention to detail.

--Familiarity with online publishing platforms and digital image manipulation is a must.

--Pre-existing vendor relationships are a plus. 

--On-camera video experience is a plus.

We’re located in New York City and are willing to accept applications from remote candidates, but you must be able to work our core hours of 9AM-5PM ET.
