    I am looking to fill one paid internship on the Multimedia Desk at AFP in Washington. 

    Our interns work directly with editors, packaging stories with AFP photos, videos and graphics for Internet clients. Primary responsibilities include selecting and editing photos, writing captions and organizing stories based on their news value in real time. Interns must be organized and be able to write quickly and clearly in English. 

    The right candidate would display intellectual curiosity, have some experience with Photoshop and an understanding of how news is generated. French is not required.

    Interns work 18-20 per week, including evenings and Saturdays for a stipend of $600 per month. We ask that they commit to working at least through May.

    This is not a reporting position, but interns are encouraged to pursue stories that interest them.
