You may be the next writer for the Kathie Lee and Hoda blog.

TODAY.com, the website of the TODAY show, is looking for a freelance blogger to cover the Kathie Lee and Hoda beat. Applicants must have a strong background in lifestyle and news content, a strong sense of humor and be willing to follow the broadcast Monday through Friday, which begins at 10 a.m. ET, live.

This writer will create 10-15 posts a week for the Kathie Lee and Hoda blog, focusing on newsy, quirky, or viral moments on the show. Applicants must have a passion for the Fourth Hour and have the ability to quickly identify, write, produce and promote compelling, original content, and an ability to use social media as a reporting tool. Coverage will focus on the broadcast (interviews and on-air chats), but is not limited to what makes air. The blogger will be assigned additional reporting, research and writing, and also be called upon to create content for the site not related to KLGH.

Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience at a print or online outlet, and must be able to provide writing samples. Applicants should be highly organized, with the ability to work independently, and under a tight deadline. This position requires a keen eye for lifestyle news, and the ability to write clearly about sometimes-complex topics and individuals, and a knack for writing with voice and energy while still adhering to the TODAY brand style. The job can be done offsite, but the ideal candidate would work onsite or in the newsroom in New York City on occasion.
