Job Description:  iHeartMedia NY is looking for a social media and video producer/editor to join its team. The role is part-videographer, part editor, and part social media programmer and the ideal candidate must have a clear understanding and familiarity with on-air programming for all stations within the NY cluster, and have a clear idea what sort of news, artist information and viral content would appeal most too each station's listener. Requirements: This position requires strong production, editorial and writing skills as well as a disciplined and strong work ethic. He or she must be willing to hustle to get breaking news items up on the site as quickly as possible, and be available whenever big news breaks. Specific responsibilities include capturing in-studio interviews on video; editing videos in an efficient manner and coordinating with on-air talent for specific content needs and calls to action as well as coordinating sites social media footprints such as Twitter, Instagram and Facebook profiles. Knowledge and experience with content management systems is a big plus. Should have a versatile, quick-witted sense of voice when using social media platforms - must be able to to wear many different hats when using social accounts from six different stations. Experience: Applicants should be college graduates with 2 to 3 years' experience in creating online content, in addition to possessing an exceptional understanding of social media and digital proficiency. Above all else, candidates should have a complete grasp of the music, issues and topics regularly discussed in pop culture.
