    PBS NewsHour is seeking an editor who combines a passion for education and civics with journalism. Primary responsibilities include working with teachers to write current events lesson plans and other tools for educators using NewsHour content, writing and editing stories for high school students, and soliciting student voices on topics in the news. Additional tasks consist of web and video production, identifying and nurturing partnerships, coordinating stories with the general site and broadcast, and assisting the Managing Editor-Education in creating valuable and effective content for teachers and students. College degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must demonstrate professional-level copyediting, writing, web production and project management skills.
