    PBS NewsHour is seeking a Digital Producer, Politics who will serve as an integral member of the PBS NewsHour’s Politics and election coverage unit, creating and managing online coverage of the 2016 political season and working closely with the broadcast team. Responsibilities include conceive, report, and write well-crafted content for NewsHour website and associated digital platforms. Additionally, this individual will contribute and support development and production of broadcast content for the PBS NewsHour, working with Politics team colleagues both in the newsroom and in the field on the campaign trail. While the focus of this role is on coverage of the 2016 election, other general assignments will be included as needed. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum one (1) year experience working in online journalism, preferably for a national outlet. Previous political reporting experience is desirable.

     

    This is a full time, but temporary position with an anticipated end date of on/about January 31, 2017.
