Reporter Producer, Politics at PBS NewsHour

    PBS NewsHour is seeking a passionate individual who will serve as an integral member of the PBS NewsHour’s Politics and election coverage unit, producing video and content for broadcast and online coverage of the 2016 political season. The Reporter Producer will research and produce day-of-air and forward-planned segments on politics and the 2016 presidential election, in close coordination with the PBS NewsHour’s team of on-air correspondents and anchors.  Additionally, this individual will conceive and develop pitches for segments, produce video for broadcast and online, and shoot video elements to include interviews, stand ups, b-roll and more. College degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Minimum of two (2) years experience working in journalism, preferably for a national outlet. Experience covering politics is desirable.

     

    This is a full time, but temporary position with an anticipated end date of on/about January 31, 2017.
