    Full-time

    From our state-of-the-art studios in downtown NYC, New York Public Radio is reshaping audio for a new generation of listeners with groundbreaking, innovative radio programs and podcasts including Radiolab, Freakonomics Radio, On the Media, Here’s the Thing with Alec Baldwin, Death, Sex & Money and Note to Self among others.

    With over 16 million listeners each month and a rapidly growing portfolio of programs and partners, you'll be responsible for driving innovative, actionable and efficient digital marketing campaigns that support audience growth across digital channels for New York’s flagship public radio station (WNYC), New York’s classical music station (WQXR) as well as national shows and top podcasts.

    Responsibilities

    Work closely with members of the Marketing, Social and Editorial teams developing and executing innovative, marketing plans for our key brands, live events and digital offerings.

    Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • ·         Work with Senior Director of Marketing to brainstorm, develop and implement multi-layered marketing plans for WNYC, WQXR as well as our growing portfolio of radio shows and podcasts
    • ·         Provide back up on SEM, paid social and other digital audience development efforts
    • ·         Manage pricing, vendors, timelines and production for marketing and advertising materials
    • ·         Manage timeline and workflow for out-of-house designers
    • ·         Write copy for marketing materials, company-wide communications, promotions and events
    • ·         Produce marketing materials and signage to support WNYC events
    • ·         Create and maintain a system of shared drives with marketing materials
    • ·         Produce presentations; support production of audio and video presentations
    • ·         Facilitate design and production of marketing materials for shows and other departments
    • ·         Track expenditures, process invoices and maintain annual marketing budget

    The successful candidate will have:

    • ·         Two to three years’ experience in marketing, social media marketing, advertising and/or production in a multi-media environment
    • ·         Experience in writing for social media, producing marketing, advertising or promotional materials
    • ·         Excellent creative judgment
    • ·         Budget management and organizational skills
    • ·         Knowledge of the basics of print/video/audio production is highly desirable
    • ·         Production experience, as well basic competency in Illustrator, Photoshop, Adobe In-Design a plus

    Preferred qualifications:

    ·         College degree

    ·         1-2 years of experience in a marketing capacity in an advertising agency or media company
