    Internship Description:

    National Productions is looking for an intern to assist in the research, development and production of social media assets for the fall season of WGBH’s national series. This intern will work with WGBH content and repackage it in ways optimized for social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat. 

    This internship will provide hands-on experience for social media content creation and distribution strategies. The intern will take an active role in the production of social mediacontent for WGBH series, specials, and initiatives such as I’ll Have What Phil’s Having, America After Charleston and Next Generation Leadership; assist in social media strategies and impact analysis for national series such as American Experience and Antiques Roadshow; and learn about social media strategies and best practices for a media organization. 

    WGBH is looking for students interested in new forms of social-first storytelling, short form video distribution and the evolving ways people are engaging with and consuming media.

     

    Skills Preferred:

    Ideal candidates should have some foundation in journalistic principles and be well-versed in best practices for the major social media platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, YouTube and 1-1 messaging apps.
