    “Due to some confusion caused by The Carter Center listing April 13 as the deadline last year on its website, we will leave the window open for applications until April 13, 2016 at 11:59 pm EST.     The Carter Center in Atlanta, Ga is now accepting applications for The Rosalynn Carter Fellowships for Mental Health Journalism. Through the fellowship, six journalists are provided $10,000 each in order to support their interest in mental health issues, thus providing them the opportunity for one year of in-depth study tackling timely topics of their choice.  Awarded fellows are not required to leave their current employment. The fellowship year begins in September 2016.

    The application deadline is Wednesday, April 6, 2016 – 11:59EST.
