    Web Video Editor

    Arlington, VA

PBS NewsHour has an exciting opportunity for a Web Video Editor to be a part of a team that teaches editorial and technical skills to teachers and students who participate in the Student Reporting Labs project (“SRL”).  SRL is a program to instruct primarily high school students on the editorial and technical elements of producing video and digital news content for digital and broadcast platforms. The Web Video Editor will be responsible for communicating editorial standards to SRL participants, identifying final components required for the SRL videos (e.g, lower thirds, open and close, etc.), and ensuring that those components are included in the final videos. Bachelor’s degree in journalism, or related field preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum three to five (3-5) years professional experience producing video content for broadcast and web.
