Assistant to the General Manager

PBS NewsHour is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Assistant who’s responsible for working across the organization on research projects and assisting the general manager with news media operations. The assistant will handle highly confidential and sensitive information, interface with internal and external parties at all levels, exercises independence, judgment and discretion, and serves as a representative of SVP and mission of WETA.  Bachelors in Business Administration, or management preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum one (1) year experience in an administrative role; experience with media is a plus.
