WMAL Radio is looking for part time newsroom assistants who are  enthusiastic, energetic and talented news professionals. News Assistants write and edit news stories, load content onto a busy news website and to edit audio for use in radio newscasts.

The ideal candidate will have excellent writing and storytelling skills, with a solid knowledge of current local and national news stories. Some news experience and solid web skills are highly desired, but not essential.

Candidates should also have some experience with digital audio and photo software. This part-time position is ideal for a college student or recent graduate who is looking to make some money and quickly build a resume.

Work hours are somewhat flexible to fit a school schedule, but we are currently looking to fill both early morning and afternoon shifts.
