Pretty Good Friends and First Look Media are hiring a radio producer for a brand new podcast about immigration. This new show explores the question of what even is an American? The project will feature immigration stories told by people who’ve lived them, in conversation with Maeve Higgins. The show will use a beguiling combination of humor and research to explore America’s ever-changing identity.

Summary of duties:

The producer will help lead our small team in finalizing the concept of the show, creating a pilot, and producing twenty episodes weekly over a period of six months. We’re looking for someone with great attention to detail, astounding creativity, and a critical ear.

Required qualifications and experience:

-Pitching, booking, interviewing, and editing for radio
-A passion for issues surrounding immigration
-Ability to multitask and adhere to tight deadlines 
-Proficiency in Pro Tools or or another DAW that you want to convince us all to switch to
-Enthusiasm and willingness to take (efficient) risks

In addition, the following skills would be great bonus additions to our team:

-Lived immigration experience
-Past experience producing daily or weekly shows
-Past experience producing two-way interviews
-Comedic brilliance
-A radio/podcast addiction
