    The Senior Editor will be responsible for producing breaking news stories and longer analysis pieces on deadline and be able to produce clean copy in a fast-paced environment in one of the leading online news organizations in the country. He or she should have solid sources in and understanding of the tech industry in terms of both products and business. Build strong working relationships with coworkers, direct reports (if applicable), customers (internal and external), and company management. A willingness to work whenever news breaks and to cooperate with coworkers are essential. Photographic and on-camera skills are a plus. Some travel will be expected.

    Candidate should have at least five years experience writing about business and technology for an online or print news organization. Flexibility, ability to meet tight deadlines, strong writing and scoop reporting skills are a must. Candidate should be a good team player and willing to experiment with new presentation ideas, and experience with photography and in front of the camera are a plus. Candidates who can break scoops as well as write smart analysis and features are a plus. We are looking for people who have a strong viewpoint in their writing, but don't take sides in their reporting. Sources in the tech industry and an understanding of how the industry works are essential. Must successfully pass a background check.
