Do you have what it takes to play a leading role in implementing NewsHour’s social media strategy and outreach? PBS NewsHour is seeking an enthusiastic Social Media Editor who will manage the sharing of NewsHour reporting from broadcast and online across social media platforms and explore new channels for future engagement, helping to grow NewsHour’s social media following and engaged communities. Primary responsibilities include coordinating management and engagement of daily news and long-term projects on social platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Google+, Instagram, and Snapchat, among others, with beat producers and editors. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of two to three (2-3) years of professional experience reporting, with organizational use of social media, is a plus.
